Ways to prevent hair loss

by: Anonymous

Question : I'M in my 20s and experiencing hair loss. What can I do to stop my hair from dropping? Please help.
Answer : YOUR hair requires a plentiful supply of nutrient-rich blood to nourish the hair follicles in the scalp, from which new hair sprouts.
Stress, poor diet and hormonal changes (such as those accompanying pregnancy), fungal infection of the scalp and certain diseases such as lupus, thyroid insufficiency and chemotherapy can contribute to hair loss. Some may also be caused by nutritional deficiencies, environmental circumstances or genetic factors. It is important to identify the underlying root cause.
Zinc can help prevent hair loss and strengthen the root of the hair. It promotes. healthy hair growth and may slow hair loss. Because zinc can boost thyroid function, it may be especially beneficial for those who have brittle or thinning hair as a result of an under-active thyroid. Taking food rich in vitamins and minerals may also help.
Hormonal imbalance in women may be due to an abnormality in the processing of essential fatty acids within the body.
Evening primrose oil can help restore hormonal balance and also moisturise the hair and the scalp as well. Hair loss due to fungal infections can be overcome by supplementing with a probiotics supplement to help restore the normal microflora in the body, to prevent fungal growth.
You should massage your scalp once a week to stimulate blood flow and release stress. Avoid excessive perming or straightening and hair colouring which can worsen your condition. You should only use a mild shampoo and never comb wet hair.
