Nelson Virginia

An approximately 61% of US population is overweight or obese, with women having much higher rates of obesity than men. In a study it was found that being overweight is more detrimental to a women’s health than to men. Women suffer a disproportionate burden of disease attributable to overweight and obesity. Women with more than 30% body fat are obese. Obese is tough on woman’s health. Being overweight or obese has been tied to a greater risk of women’s health problems, including heart disease, high blood pressure, type2 diabetes, stroke, gallbladder disease, osteoarthritis, sleep apnea, respiratory problems and some cancers. The health outcomes related to these diseases, however, often can be improved through weight loss. Obese woman or overweight women should ensure that excess weight is lost. This cannot happen through weight loss pills but there needs to be a lifestyle change and a low calorie diet for a permanent weight loss. A lot of women gain weight during pregnancy as they do not eat right. Weight gain could also be a result of using birth control pills. Weight loss programs should be avoided and a healthy lifestyle needs to be adopted to remain in good health. In most of the weight loss programs that specify on no-carb, no-fat diets and other fad diets and concepts upsets the delicate balance of proper food intake. This creates more mental and physical problems including accelerated aging, wrinkling and sagging skin. For skin care simple steps are important. It is important that the body is well hydrated through out the day to keep the skin firm. Complete elimination of carbohydrates, fats, affects the skin considerably. There are many reasons for concern when it comes to women’s health. The different stages of a woman's life bring with them changing health concerns and challenges. A woman’s body goes through many changes during her lifetime. At different stages of life, hormones play an important role, starting from puberty to menopause. The different stages in life also affect her sexuality. In medical terms this is called sexual dysfunction. By some estimates as many as four in ten women experience at least one sexual dysfunction. Women’s health is a women’s issue and a women must ensure that she looks after herself as she plays many roles and shapes the society.
